OUR ACTIONS

  • Parents and carers are engaged in their children’s learning and education.
  • Shared learning and annual education activities undertaken in collaboration with Kindy and Prep Year (LRSS) (Under 8s and other events.)
  • The early years’ network (aged 0-8 years) is created to guide programs, deliverables and outcomes, including AEDC measurements.
  • The development clinic operates weekly, and health support referrals in the vital 0-5 years are actioned.
  • Youth activities continue twice weekly at the Kuunchi Kakana Centre with 8-14-year-olds engaged and improved life skills and learning.
  • An innovative High school learning program is developed and delivered in partnership with Lockhart State School at the Kuunchi Kakana Centre, supporting re-engagement, learning, leadership and empowerment for secondary students.
  • Emerging leaders support Youth Summit annually.
  • An EYPP evaluation system is developed to measure the success of the program in supporting children’s school readiness and learning outcomes.

  • Existing language books developed as a digital engagement experience, capturing words, stories in language and English.
  • Connections between elders, emerging cultural leaders and youth are developed, building respect, engagement and learning in Lockhart River.
  • Implement a digital recording program to capture data on all support services delivered.
  • Elements of the cycle of intergenerational disadvantage are identified and disrupted.
  • New family routines and behaviours developed and sustained.
  • Connections are developed, supporting the donation of products to the Puuya Bucks Program.
